You came to us so strong and pure,
Offering us the cure.
When we turned our backs,
You showed us what our life would lack.
You demonstrated your healing power,
And guided us in our darkest hour.
You gave us forgiveness
If we'd just speak up with boldness.
When our hearts were full of strife,
You gave your life.
Our sins were the cause,
You died on the cross.
What you left behind for us,
Satan fears it,
Your Holy Spirit.

Traveling the world,
They preach the word.
The crowds move in,
To hear Jesus will live again.
The righteous believe.
The Holy Spirit is received.
But soon, The devil takes hold,
Of some angry souls.
Banded together,
The mob takes the brethren.
They were stripped and humiliated,
Beaten with rods and incarcerated.
their faith never in doubt,
They call upon the Lord with a shout.
With songs and prayers,
They ask God to help them bear.
The earth started shaking,
The chains began breaking.
The unbelievers fall to their knees,
The Lord they now aim to please.

Please forgive me Father, for I have sinned.
I need your forgiveness to live again.
I need your helping hand,
When my feet are too weak to stand.
I need your reassuring touch,
When life gets to be too much.
I need you to light the way,
When the darkness seems to stay.
With you by my side,
All things are possible,
No problems impossible.
I found what peace is like,
In the presents of your guiding light.
